The 47-year-old woman, hit by a stray bullet in the abdomen on New Year's Eve in Fork, in the center of Naples, will have to undergo a new surgery. This information comes from sources of the ASL Napoli 1, as reported by Fanpage.it.
The patient had undergone initial immediate surgery that stabilized her condition, but doctors were unable to remove the bullet, which remained lodged in her side with the prospect of remaining there permanently.
The woman, 50 years old, had suffered the wound during the New Year's celebrations while she was looking out from the balcony of her home. Her family members had promptly helped her, transporting her urgently to the Pellegrini hospital, where she had been admitted with a reserved prognosis, not in immediate danger of life.
At the moment, his condition is stable and his vital signs are normal, circumstances which led to the decision to perform a second surgical operation to extract the bullet.
The State Police is currently investigating the incident. The most likely hypothesis at the moment suggests that someone shot without a precise target, perhaps during the celebrations, from a street or a nearby house.
