A busy morning at Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi, in the province of Avellino, fortunately ended without consequences, when a 63-year-old man threatened to throw himself from the third floor to avoid arrest.

The agents of the Flying Squad of the Police Headquarters Avellino and the local police station managed to distract him and block him after breaking into his home.
The man had been served with a detention order issued by the Attorney General's Office of the Court of Appeal of Napoli, following his sentence to five years and three months in prison for extortion.
Over the course of eight years, he had extorted ninety thousand euros from a local person.
