A law enforcement operation in the municipality of San Tammaro (CE) led to the seizure of a Fiat Iveco truck suspected of illegally transporting hazardous waste.
During a patrol of the area, the Marcianise Forestry Carabinieri spotted the truck parked near a waste treatment plant with its container full of waste.
It later emerged that the vehicle had a suspended permit for failure to pay contributions and was transporting waste that had not been correctly declared on the waste accompanying form.
The officers discovered that the container contained hazardous special waste that did not comply with the declaration on the form, and therefore proceeded to seize the truck and report the driver for illegal management of hazardous special waste and transporting special waste with false entries on the Waste Identification Form (FIR).
