A law enforcement operation in the municipality of San Tammaro (CE) led to the seizure of a Fiat Iveco truck suspected of illegally transporting hazardous special waste.
During a patrol of the territory, the Carabinieri Forestali of Marcianise identified the truck parked near a waste treatment plant with the container full of waste.
It later emerged that the vehicle had a suspended permit for failure to pay contributions and was transporting waste that had not been correctly declared in the waste accompanying form.
The military discovered that there was special hazardous waste on the container, which did not comply with what was declared in the form, and therefore proceeded to seize the truck and reported the driver for illegal management of special hazardous waste and transportation of special waste with false annotations in the Waste Identification Form (FIR).
This operation demonstrates the commitment of law enforcement in combating the phenomenon of illegal waste transportation, an activity harmful to the environment and public health.
