The director of the Palace of Caserta, Tiziana Maffei, has embraced a new role as a stylist for a cooperative that deals with women victims of violence.
The clothing collection, entitled “Geometries of Freedom,” will be presented tomorrow at the ethical fashion laboratory of the Eva social cooperative, located in a property confiscated from the Camorra in Casal di Principe.
The garments, made with geometric cuts and very few seams, are a symbol of freedom and express the strength of the women who created them, all with a violent past. The silks used for the clothes were donated by Gucci, as part of the Gucci Up project for the creative reuse of surplus materials.
+The Eva social cooperative operates in Campania, managing six anti-violence centers and three shelters, and is committed to the job placement of women who have emerged from situations of violence.
Among the various entrepreneurial projects, EVAlab, an ethical fashion laboratory, stands out. In addition, the women involved in the cooperative collect oranges from the Royal Palace of Caserta and produce the Marmellata delle Regine.
