Attempted robbery in Pomigliano d'Arco: gunshots and chase, two robbers injured in serious condition
Moments of terror last night at Pomigliano d'Arco, where a young couple were the victims of an attempted armed robbery.
The events took place in Via Pomigliano, where a 20-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman, both with no criminal record, were travelling in an Audi Q2 when they were approached by two people on an Sh scooter.
The criminals attempted to rob them, but when they failed, they fired several shots at the couple's car. At that point, the victim, instead of handing over tears and wallets, had an unexpected reaction: he chased the two robbers on his scooter.
A crazy chase ensued, which ended tragically for the two criminals. For reasons yet to be ascertained, they lost control of the vehicle and fell to the ground.
Both robbers were seriously injured. A 23-year-old, already known to the police, was transported to the Ospedale del Mare in red code, not in danger of life. The other, a 19-year-old also with a criminal record, is instead hospitalized in reserved prognosis and in danger of life at the Nola hospital.
The Carabinieri of the operational section of the Castello di Cisterna company, who intervened on site together with the military of the local station, found a hole on the left front door of the Audi Q2. Investigations are underway to reconstruct the entire incident.
