Atella Sound Circus: with the seventh edition the magic returns!
From June 27th to 30th, the Artenova Association will offer a whirlwind of music, art and entertainment for the seventh edition of the Atella Sound Circus, the street music and arts festival that has won the hearts of thousands of fans. An unmissable event that will transform the Casale di Teverolaccio di Succivo into an enchanted world.
The festival is supported by the municipal administration of Succivo, led by Mayor Salvatore Papa and the delegate for culture Giuseppe Mitrano, who has renewed his commitment by confirming his economic and moral patronage. A tangible sign to enhance the territory and promote high-quality events.
A Unique and Extraordinary Event
Atella Sound Circus is not just a festival but a celebration of the beauty of circus arts and street artists. The perfect fusion of tradition, classicism and innovation will be expressed through unforgettable shows and breathtaking performances.
The protagonists are 18 extraordinary street and circus artists, buskers, musicians from different backgrounds, ready to amaze the audience with their unique and engaging performances. An edition that promises to be truly special, dedicated to the discovery of different cultures and sounds, for an unparalleled sensory travel experience with moments of pure wonder and fun for adults and children.
Live Music and International Performances:
The musical cast is long and varied, we find: Paolo Baldini with the DubFiles project, considered the best Italian reggae and dub musician and producer. He is the bassist of Almamegretta and has collaborated with Africa Unite, BR Stylers, Jovanotti, Tre Allegri Boys Morti and Mellow Mood. Before him on Friday 28 June the promising Neapolitan musician, based in London, Dub Marta will play. The buskers concert will be performed by Soulpalco, a group devoted to traditional music, including tarantellas and tammurriate.
Saturday 29th June is the turn of the Funky * Club Orchestra that will involve the audience in a not indifferent way to the rhythm of funky, soul, electronic and disco music. Before them on stage the music of the Trentino Electric Circus rich in funk groove, blues embroidery, psychedelia and world perfumes. The buskers concert will make us dive into the sounds of the 30s & 40s, with the Hot Swing Quartet between jazz and swing jazz Manouche, in homage to Django Reinhardt, to then arrive at the Balkan sounds. Sunday 30th June the concerts of this edition will close with the NovaBeat Orchestra and the buskers Do Brasil: the former are a collective of 15 musicians from Naples that has its roots in Afrobeat music. A real Big Band capable of bringing a load of energy and emotion to make the audience move in a free and joyful dance. The latter will take you on a journey into Brazilian popular music. Do Brasil trio will perform both famous songs and more sophisticated pieces, inspired by João Gilberto, Chico Buarque, Elis Regina, Djavan and Caetano Veloso.
An event for families and their children:
New this year is the inaugural day dedicated entirely to children! Thanks to the laboratory experience created by the ArteNova Association, during the last school year, on Thursday 27 June the little ones will be the undisputed protagonists: having learned the rudiments of street art they will transform into artists and perform live. The day is nothing other than the final project wanted last winter by the Principal Debora Belardo of the Rocco-Cinquegrana school in Sant'Arpino and the Principal Loredana Russo of the Santagata school in Gricignano together with the EVA cooperative of Casal di Principe. The project is supported by Save the Children.
A meditative event:
On June 28th – at 17:30 pm, free participation with reservation via WhatsApp at 3926649199, the magic and regenerative power of Meditation will be re-proposed, accompanied by the harmonious sound of Tibetan Bells.
Immersed in nature, in a “space of awareness”, it will be possible to reconnect with the breath, listen to oneself, open the heart to emotions and let oneself be involved in the circus atmosphere that surrounds us.
Experience the Magic of Busking:
The art of busking, with its noble and fascinating tradition, will be the beating heart of the Atella Sound Circus. Spectators will be able to immerse themselves completely in the magic of this extraordinary world, discovering the skills and creativity of street artists, and getting involved in performances that will remain etched in their memory.
The street artists who will take turns from 18:00 pm during the 4 days are:
TADAM CIRCUS
TaDam – Circus-Theatre Company and School was founded in 2015, becoming one of the first to bring circus to Piacenza. They perform with theater, juggling, manipulation, aerial hoop, static trapeze, stilts.
ENTERO CIRCUS
Nahuel Iribarren and Lucia Villaseco are artists from Buenos Aires who travel aboard their F100 in which they transport joy, laughter and great artistic quality. They will perform comic juggling and trapeze shows.
DJACO
Stage name of Giacomo di Vona from the province of Frosinone. His show is “The Animal Freak Show” a multidisciplinary show that blends circus techniques, comedy and madness.
GAHIA FLOWERS
Gahia performs with “Mrs. Rompibolle” one of her soap bubble shows suitable for the whole family. She also holds creative workshops in which she makes bracelets and colored braids together with the children.
NICOLA MACCHIARULO
In art “Il Macchiarlo” offers a show in which juggling, magic and mime are at the service of the clownish game of this character for whom… “everything goes wrong”. A show that with the help of the audience… if everything goes well… will go very badly.
JULIUS LINGUITI
Engaging and exciting IN CERCHIO is a poetic show balanced between acrobatic virtuosity and theatrical monologue. Among the few Italian street shows on a wheel Cyr that stands out for the use of the word as an expressive means on a par with circus technique.
PYROVAGHI
Nicola, passionate about contemporary circus, and Marilù, linked for years to the world of theater, met in 2016 after years of separate careers and gave life to the duo Pyròvaghi with the show “Back To Life” a strong message against gender violence is an original and moving street show in which the theater uses the ancient Indian Fire Dance and juggling techniques to tell the story of a woman who escaped violence and her rebirth. It is not the violence that is on stage but that delicate moment in which she relearns to love herself and to use her wounds to build the foundations of a new life.

ROBERTO BALLOONS
Street artist from Turin specialized in the art of creating with his balloons any character or instrument loved by children. A true well of inventiveness and creativity.
THE MURGA THE SPOTLIGHTS
Murga Porteña is a very powerful weapon of protest, colorful, joyful and noisy that was born in Argentina in Buenos Aires. In Naples, Murga Los Espositos absorbs its culture, combining it with the art, colors and spirit of its city. Born in 2016 inside the Giardino Liberato di Materdei, Murga Los Espositos combines music, dance and theater, bringing the values of sharing and inclusion to the streets. We like to think that ours is a Neapolitan murga in which - as always happens in Naples - everyone comes together, connects and influences each other, thus creating a collective and strong soul. Our desire is to infect those who meet us, overwhelming them in the freedom of expression without fear.

There will be no shortage of culinary delights, thanks to the food stands and food trucks with typical local products to guarantee everyone a healthy and tasty culinary experience.
