Officers from the Economic and Financial Police Unit of the Naples Guardia di Finanza have confiscated assets worth over €4 million from a Casapesenna businessman found to be affiliated with the Casalesi clan - Zagaria faction.
The confiscation order, issued by the Section for the Application of Preventive Measures of the Court of Santa Maria Capua Vetere and confirmed by the Court of Cassation, concerns an entrepreneur already definitively convicted of mafia association.
The investigations, conducted by the Anti-Mafia District Directorate of Naples, have ascertained that the entrepreneur, in competition with others, was awarded public contracts thanks to the intervention of the boss Michele Zagaria.

Asset assessments
Asset checks conducted by the Guardia di Finanza revealed a disproportion between the entrepreneur's declared income and the value of the assets held by him and his family, spanning a period from 1997 to 2015.
The confiscation
This disproportion, a symptom of an illicit accumulation of wealth over time, led to the irrevocable confiscation of:
- 5 company
12 vehicles
2 boats
9 financial reports
5 properties
7 terrains
