State road 163 “Amalfitana” is temporarily closed to traffic in both directions in the stretch between kilometer 46,300, between Cetara and Vietri sul Mare, due to a fire that broke out during the night along a privately owned ridge adjacent to the road. The extinguishing operations, conducted by aircraft, require the closure to ensure safety.
During the morning, to allow the intervention of the firefighters and other emergency vehicles, the one-way system was activated along the road. On site, in addition to the Firefighters busy putting out the flames, there are teams from Anas and the Police Force to manage the traffic and ensure the safety of those present.
Anas announced that traffic will be restored as soon as possible, assuring that they are working hard to restore the situation to normal and minimize inconvenience for motorists. The local community and travelers are encouraged to follow the updates and instructions of the authorities to avoid further inconvenience.
