Late yesterday evening, the officers of the Afragola Police Station, during the territorial control service, intervened, on the orders of the Operations Room, in via Regina, following the report of a person in a rage.
The police, who arrived immediately on the scene, identified some residents who reported that, shortly before their arrival, a neighbor had threatened to explode some gas cylinders in his home and then barricade himself in it.

At first the operators, from outside the apartment, attempted to make the man desist from his intentions but, having noticed a strong smell of gas, with the support of the Fire Brigade, they decided to break into the house .
In the meantime, the criminal had locked himself in the bedroom and from the balcony of the same, threatened the officers in the street by throwing various household items, knives and even a gas bottle.
At the same time, other operators entered the room and, not without difficulty and after a struggle, blocked him.
The 45-year-old from Afragola with a criminal record was arrested for attempted aggravated multiple homicide, threats, assault and resisting a public official.
