A 30-year-old man of Egyptian origin was arrested by the Caserta State Police on charges of damage, resistance and injury to a public official. The timely intervention of the flying squad of the Aversa public safety commissioner took place in the city center, following a report received by the emergency number.
According to witnesses, the man, armed with a stick, was attacking passers-by and throwing cobblestones, causing damage to street furniture. In a state of obvious agitation, he was found not far from the site of the attack. During the attempt to stop him, the man resisted, kicking and punching the police officers who intervened.
Despite his attempts to escape, the State Police officers of Caserta they managed to block him and arrest him. Unfortunately, due to the violence suffered, the police officers had to seek medical attention for the bruises they suffered. At the end of the summary trial, the 30-year-old was convicted.
