Eduardo De Filippo: on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the death of Eduardo De Filippo, a free book will be available in Campania with Repubblica that celebrates the great Neapolitan playwright. The volume, entitled “Tavola, tavola, chiodo, chiodo”, was created by Lino Musella and retraces the works and battles of Eduardo, including his commitment to the reopening of the San Ferdinando theater.
Eduardo: A Living Legacy in Today's Naples
Tommaso De Filippo, Eduardo's nephew, emphasized during the presentation of the book at the Eduardo Foundation in Naples, how his work is still relevant in today's Naples. "Eduardo De Filippo is not only the past, but is very present in today's Naples. This can be read in his texts, it can be seen in his comedies", said Tommaso, highlighting the goal of making Eduardo known to new generations.
A Cultural Adventure Between Words and Images
The presentation was also attended by Lino Musella, actor and author of the book, who commented: "This volume is a way to make Eduardo's words travel, which he entrusted to humanity and have been recovered in several passages". Ottavio Ragone, editor of Repubblica Napoli, also participated in the initiative, explaining that the newspaper celebrates this anniversary by reconstructing through the book the extraordinary adventure of the reconstruction of the San Ferdinando theater and the dramaturgical genius of Eduardo.
