Naples. Chaos in the Piazza Dante metro station. A 26-year-old attacks a security guard and damages the turnstiles, arrested by the Carabinieri.
Dozens of calls to 112 reported the same situation: a young man, apparently drunk and without documents, was damaging the ticket machines at the metro station.
The crowd of residents and tourists gathered near the entrance, some curious and others anxious not to miss the last ride.
When a security guard tried to stop him, the young man reacted violently, even trying to take the gun from the vigilantAt that point, the Carabinieri of the Naples radiomobile unit intervened.
The attacker was stopped, despite trying to break free. He will now have to answer for attempted robbery, resisting a public official, aggravated damage and disruption of public service.
He was taken to prison, awaiting trial. The security guard suffered injuries that will heal in 10 days.
