Last night, a State Police operation led to the arrest of two young men for attempted aggravated robbery in Piazza Garibaldi. The arrested, both of Moroccan origin and respectively 18 and 23 years old, already had police records.
During a routine check, law enforcement officers were approached by a young man who reported being attacked by the two individuals. According to testimony, the two attempted to steal his money and cell phone, threatening him with a shard of bottle.
The agents of the General Prevention and Public Aid Office, who promptly intervened, intercepted and arrested the attackers, putting an end to the attempted robbery. The rapid action of the police forces allowed to guarantee security in a central and frequented area of the city.

It was an important operation by the Police, but there are always doubts about how these things are carried out. The arrests are right but we must also see the motivations behind the actions of these people.
