There are 23 people under investigation in the context of an investigation by the investigating judge of Santa Maria Capua Vetere, who has ordered precautionary measures against them: 22 are under house arrest, while one is subject to the obligation to sign in with the judicial police. The investigation, conducted by the Carabinieri of the Investigative Unit of the Aversa Group and the NAS of Caserta, concerns alleged fraud against insurance companies. The suspects all reside in the provinces of Naples and Caserta.
The investigation has brought to light suspicions of criminal association, aimed at numerous episodes of corruption, forgery, fraud, corruption in judicial acts and production and use of false documents. The group allegedly obtained sums of money in compensation from insurance companies, for road accidents that never actually occurred.
To carry out the fraud, the gang members allegedly took people with previous fractures to the emergency rooms of various hospitals in the area. The suspects, by providing false personal details and presenting forged documents, allegedly obtained medical reports attesting to non-existent injuries, which were subsequently used to request compensation for invented accidents.

The investigation into the people under investigation is very interesting, but I wonder how it is possible that there are so many people under investigation and that the fraud was carried out in such an organized way. It would be important that justice be done.
