The show “Ninni e nanne: soundscapes of Christmas in Naples” will come to life at the church of San Giovanni Battista in Corso San Giovanni a Teduccio. The event, part of the project “Altri Natali” and supported by the Municipality of Naples, aims to celebrate the Nativity, with the special participation of the choir of mothers of the Fondazione Famiglia di Maria.
An Intense Christmas Repertoire
The concert, scheduled for Sunday, December 22 at 20:XNUMX p.m., with free admission until all seats are taken, is managed by the Napulitanata association in synergy with the Fondazione Famiglia di Maria, which plays a fundamental role in supporting minors and families in socioeconomic difficulty. The repertoire presented by Napulitanata includes sacred and popular songs from the Christmas tradition, with pieces such as “Quanno nascette Ninno” by Sant'Alfonso Maria de' Liguori, along with compositions by Armando Gill, Salvatore Di Giacomo and Roberto De Simone.
The Participation of Artists and Mothers' Choir
Artists such as Mimmo Matania and Pasquale Cirillo, co-founders of Napulitanata, Giuseppe Arena and a trio of singers will perform on stage. The performance of the mothers' choir, led by Emanuela de Rosa, is the culmination of previous workshops in the peripheral areas. The program also includes songs that, while not explicitly Christmassy, will help spread a collective festive atmosphere.
Cultural Initiatives in Naples
Sergio Locoratolo, head of cultural policies of the Municipality of Naples, highlighted the importance of this initiative in the framework of the Administration's policies of cultural polycentrism. The concert represents a model of citizen participation and regeneration of cultural spaces through local collaborations.
