Rome enthusiastically welcomed the 7th Edition of the Premio National ANGI - Oscar of Innovation, which was held today at the historic Hall of the Temple of Vibia Sabina and Hadrian, in the Chamber of Commerce.
The event, organized by the National Association of Young Innovators, was an important moment of celebration of Italian excellence in the world of innovation, with the awarding of over 30 prizes. The ceremony saw the participation of more than 15 startups and numerous opinion leaders from the institutional, entrepreneurial and research sectors, undisputed protagonists of this extraordinary day dedicated to progress and talent.
The day was opened by the speech of Gabriele Ferrieri, President of ANGI: "We are pleased with the extraordinary presence of the institutions and companies that supported this initiative. Special thanks go to the Mayor of Rome, the Minister of Education and all the authorities who, with their participation, underlined the importance of investing in young people and innovation, giving prestige to the mission of ANGI.
This morning has allowed us to remember how talent and meritocracy must be at the center of the economy for the new generations. Our commitment must aim to enhance this growth, working to expand the tools dedicated to research and development. We address this appeal to the Meloni government and the European Commission, so that we continue to invest in a future based on competence and innovation”.
Speech by the Mayor of Rome, Roberto Gualtieri: 'I thank Gabriele Ferrieri for this important work, which has contributed to creating a moment of aggregation in an increasingly large community, composed of people who believe in the importance of supporting young talents. Institutions must collaborate to promote moments of growth and innovation.
In Rome we strongly believe in these values. I feel very much at home here and I wish that the young people, startups and talents that ANGI rewards and supports can collaborate more and more with our city too. The culture of innovation and openness to change are central to us.
We are working to bring about a transformation of Rome, also through the development of digital infrastructures that enable a larger and more connected community. This includes the creation of a new digital infrastructure, with a latest-generation 5G network, IoT sensors and tools to exploit digital and artificial intelligence in areas such as security and monitoring of the city”.
Speech by the Minister of Education and Merit, Giuseppe Valditara: “We have tried to put the student at the center. It is the first time in Italy that this type of reform is discussed, introducing the figures of the tutor teacher and the guidance teacher, who have the task of enhancing the talents of each young person.
These teachers must help bring out those extraordinary abilities inherent in every student, which deserve to be highlighted. We have allocated significant resources so that young people's choices are oriented and consistent with their talents, also in view of their subsequent career path. Furthermore, there is the extraordinarily important issue of the reform of technical and professional education, designed to offer a prospect of job success to many young people and, at the same time, increase the competitiveness of companies".
Among the participants in the ceremony, we can mention – among others – Carlo Corazza (Director of the European Parliament Offices in Italy), Mauro Battocchi (Director General for the Directorate General for the Promotion of the Country System at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation), Lorenzo Galanti (Director General of ICE), Riccardo Di Stefano (Delegate Confindustria Education & Open Innovation), Mario Nobile (Director General AGID – Agency for Digital Italy), Riccardo Luna (journalist and one of the leading Italian experts in digital evolution and development), Francesco Billari, Rector of Bocconi University, Alessandro Moricca, Sole Director of PagoPA; Alfredo Becchetti, President of Infratel and Bruno Frattasi, Director General of ACN.

The ability to transfer digital skills and tools to businesses is a shared responsibility at the public and private levels. This is especially true for Artificial Intelligence, whose use today represents an important boost in competitiveness for businesses and professionals, impossible to miss in order to compete within their own reference market, freeing up time for resources and acting as a true "enabler" of simplicity and productivity.
As TeamSystem, we have long believed in the potential of this technology, especially if inserted, studied and perfected within an Open Innovation context that guarantees the possibility of continuous “contamination”, encouraging the growth of technological know-how and the discovery of new AI applications, which we bring to our over 2 million customers”.

today's event in Rome is interesting, but it seems to me that not all startups had the same space to present themselves. Some deserved more visibility than others, maybe there were some particular choices by the organization.
