Salvatore Roselli, the Camorra informer of the Amato Pagano clan, reported to the prosecutors in his statements what the other interests of the 'group' were.

It is controlled “by a certain Salvatore called Sasa' delle aste”, the repentant explains on May 11, 2023 in a report attached to the precautionary measure signed by the investigating judge of Naples Isabella Iaselli for the 53 suspects. “All the auctions are in the hands of the Amato-Pagano clan – he says – and when someone wins the auction they have to pay the bribe which varies up to 10 thousand euros”. Even a relative of the system manager is forced to pay to be awarded a shop.
The clan also tries to launder money by purchasing winning lottery tickets
Another system of money supply, or rather, the way in which the Amato-Paganos managed to obtain clean money was through betting. “The clan’s emissaries,” Roselli explains, “intercepted the winners of lottery bets. They demanded the delivery of the ticket with the amount won. The clan paid the amount plus a percentage. In this way, the gang managed to obtain clean money to invest in legal activities.” They tried, Roselli recalls, even with a woman who had won a share of the SuperEnalotto: “They offered her 1 million plus 100 thousand euros.”
His name is Salvatore Silvestri, he was an entrepreneur and he is 51 years old, he is known as Tore 'o cacaglio: he is the man of the auctions and sales of real estate in the area. He does it both through direct acquisition, obtained also with violence or threats, extortionate requests to the successful bidders. And, he also has the task of lending his contribution also by making extortionate requests to entrepreneurs operating in the real estate sector.
Last year he had already been arrested together with Enrico Bocchetti (son-in-law of the boss Cesare Pagano) and Pasquale Furlano for extortion against an entrepreneur who had won a house at auction. But Silvestri was acquitted on that occasion.
Cristofaro Pargliola, a 41-year-old from Mugnano, also operated in the same sector. He monitored the progress of real estate auctions on behalf of the clan, communicating them to affiliates to allow them to participate or to direct the outcome or make extortionate demands to those who were successful, and making his expertise, knowledge and relationships in the sector available.
A few years ago Salvatore Silvestri had been removed from the clan for having taken money without the knowledge of the gang and had been protected by the wife of Pagano Carmine from more violent reactions. He had continued to attend the auctions and Chiariello (formerly the Melito area boss, ed.) informed Liguori Marco who called him back without "touching" him.
Silvestri had clashed with Debora Amato
In reality, in that period, as clearly emerges from the environmental recordings intercepted in
following days, Beloved Deborah has reasons for conflict over a real estate transaction
which has not been concluded and for which he is requesting the sum of 30 thousand euros from Silvestri
Salvatore, held responsible for the failure to conclude the deal.
During that period, Salvatore's son, Antonio Luciano, was romantically linked to Pagano Carmela, daughter of Carmine called Angioletto. The intercepted conversations also revealed Amato Debora's desire to assert her own prestige and that of her current partner Romano Domenico, as well as that of her sister Monica's current partner, Belardo Donato. During the conversation, despite the contrasts, Silvestri
he says "maybe you didn't understand, I'm still getting killed for Debora today"

The article talks about a clan that controls the auctions, but there are many things that don't add up. How can they be so powerful? And why doesn't anyone stop these illegal activities? There should be more attention from the competent authorities.
