Chaos in the late evening yesterday in the Vicaria neighborhood: shortly before midnight, the Carabinieri of the Naples radiomobile unit intervened in an apartment where a man, presumably under the influence of drugs, was attacking his partner.
When the military arrived, the man, a 49-year-old, showed no signs of calming down. Despite the presence of the police, he attacked the woman again. The carabinieri placed themselves between the victim and the attacker, but a violent fight ensued. With considerable difficulty, the military managed to stop and arrest the man, who will now have to answer for mistreatment of the family, resisting a public official and personal injury.
The attack left tangible signs: the woman was rescued by 118 personnel and received a 7-day prognosis for the injuries she sustained. The two also police interveners suffered bruises during the physical confrontation with the arrested man and were treated, with a prognosis of 10 days each. The man is currently in custody awaiting trial, while the woman has been entrusted to the care of health workers and the competent authorities to ensure her future safety.
