An intense production
Directed by Michele Brasilio, who also stars alongside Marina Cioppa, the show offers a reflection on melodrama within relationships. The direction and dramaturgy are a joint effort by Brasilio and Cioppa. Stefania Remino takes on the role of assistant director, while the lighting design is by Alessandro Benedetti.
Themes and reflections
“Mine” challenges the granularity of melodrama in human relationships, drawing attention to how emotional emphasis can be superfluous. The play questions fundamental concepts such as love and its perceived impact on the quality of human life, evoking Ronald David Laing’s thought about life as “a sexually transmitted disease.”
