The accident, which occurred last Friday, had led to his immediate hospitalization at the Ruggi d'Aragona hospital in Salerno, but despite the efforts of the doctors and the support of the community, Diotiaiuti died this morning.
The news has deeply affected the community of Cameroon, a place where Diotiaiuti was known and respected. During his hospitalization, the town mobilized with a chain of solidarity: the Municipality had arranged free shuttles to allow citizens to go to Salerno to donate blood, a gesture that underlines the strong social cohesion of the place.
