The “Love Is” Literary and Artistic Competition celebrated its second edition with a significant participation of writers and artists, highlighting works that explore the universal theme of love.
This event provided an opportunity to reflect on different perspectives of feeling, from that towards one's children to that towards humanity in general. Rita Occidente Lupo, editor-in-chief of the newspaper Dentro Salerno, moderated the event.
Prizes and Awards
Among the winners, Maria Cuono, journalist and writer, received the Cupido Award for her work “Tutto con il cuore”, and the Journalistic Merit Award for “L'Arte dell'Incontro. Interviews with Entertainment Personalities”. Her first poetry collection “Verso l'Orizzonte” was awarded at the Premio Rosa and she received the honor from the jury of the Mario Luzi International Award with the upcoming publication of a new edition of “L'Arte dell'Incontro”.
Success of Maria Cuono's Works
Tutto con il cuore has received significant recognition, including the Cartagine International Cultural Award, and has won several other awards, including the Poseidonia Paestum International Poetry Award 2024. In addition, the work has been recognized at the SS. Cosma Damiano Award, the Un Santo chiama Karol Wojtyla Award, and the La magia del Natale in ogni tempo Award. Maria Cuono's works celebrate and immortalize the love of art through interviews that tell the artistic journey of the protagonists interviewed.
