Former Gomorrah actor Marco Macor is among the 21 people arrested in today's major raid that busted a gang that was defrauding seniors all over Italy.
The head of the gang was his younger brother Alberto who, together with his partner Marica Mastroianni, from their home in Melito had set up a real gang of criminals dedicated to defrauding the elderly, who they chose above all in Northern Italy.
One of those arrested today, not knowing he was being wiretapped while he was in Venice after a robbery, while talking to an accomplice said: “Mamma mia, what a monster you are, we are the most unbalanced team in Europe”.

The actor, who in the wiretaps was called by the nickname “Caff”, was one of the travellers who travelled from Naples to Northern Italy to steal the money. He would also have taken care of some logistics operations for the gang. For judge Milena Catalano, Marco Macor “fully joined the association and is still a member of it”.

On the other end of the phone, the voice of the elderly woman who can only say "no, no..", grows increasingly faint.
This is when the scammer doubles down: "Your son is in the police station. The woman you hit is losing her life and your son has to go to prison. To avoid prison - continues the scammer - you will have to take responsibility and personally pay for the damages caused".
