Pomigliano – Four minors, believed to be involved in various capacities in the criminal activities of the Cipolletta clan, have been hit by a precautionary custody order issued by the GIP of the Juvenile Court of Naples and transferred to the Juvenile Penal Institute (IPM).
The young people, accused of having participated in the activities of the Camorra association operating in Pomigliano d'Arco and the surrounding areas, ended up in the crosshairs of the investigations conducted by the Investigative Unit of the Carabinieri of Castello di Cisterna, in coordination with the District Anti-Mafia Directorate (DDA) of the Naples Public Prosecutor's Office and the Juvenile Court.
The complex and detailed investigations have brought to light the alleged involvement of the four boys in the clan's activities. One of them is seriously suspected of participating in the criminal organization and of having committed crimes aimed at the group's illicit activities.
The other three, however, are accused of having facilitated the operations of the gang, playing roles in support of the criminal actions.
According to the investigations, the minors would have been co-opted into the Cipolletta clan both as active members of the association and as "laborers" for the commission of specific crimes, useful to further the criminal program of the group. Their recruitment would have occurred easily and at low cost: the compensation for the minors, in fact, would have been lower than that reserved for adults.
Despite this disparity in pay, the young people would have shown a particular brutality in carrying out the criminal acts, often showing excessive and unjustified violence compared to the pre-established objectives. A behavior, this, that would seem to be dictated by the desire to gain credibility in the eyes of the clan leader.
One of the minors had the word Cipolletta tattooed on his wrist
One of the minors, in particular, allegedly committed acts of violence and threats for “private” purposes, taking advantage of the clan’s intimidating reputation and the availability of weapons.
Another, however, was said to have managed to gain the trust of the boss, becoming an integral part of the organization and carrying out important tasks, such as transporting weapons. To celebrate his “promotion” within the group, the young man was said to have had the word “onion”, as a tangible symbol of his belonging to the clan.
