Kvaratskhelia's Blackmail and Article 17 of the FIFA Regulations

Napoli's sporting director, Giovanni Manna, clearly explained what Kvaratskhelia's blackmail of the blue club was.

"We were forced to sell him because we were blackmailed by the player, or almost." The risk raised by the player and his entourage was that it would cause significant financial damage to Napoli.

Everything has been carefully planned: in fact, there is Article 17 of the FIFA regulation, which allows a player with a contract lasting more than three years to be released within 15 days of the last match played and after the club concerned has paid compensation based on the player's salary, age, and years of service.

In short, just a few cents compared to the 75 million euros received from PSG for the sale of kvaratskhelia: nothing but kisses on the shirt, hearts towards the fans and other useless theatrical gestures.
