An earthquake of magnitude 2.5 was recorded at 6:40 this morning, precisely one kilometer northwest of Striano.
The data were provided by the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV), which identified the seismic event at a depth of 15 kilometers.
The earthquake movement was felt in the area of Vesuvius and in the Nolano area. Furthermore, it was felt in several municipalities in the province of Salerno, including San Valentino Torio and Sarno.
There have been no reports of damage to buildings or people, local authorities reassure. The event does not appear to have caused particular concerns among the affected population.
A second shock, this time of magnitude 2.2, was detected in San Giuseppe Vesuviano (4 kilometers from Striano), in the Naples area, at 8.50:3. The INGV recorded it, precisely, 18 kilometers east of San Giuseppe Vesuviano, at a depth of XNUMX kilometers.

It is strange that two tremors were recorded in a short time. But there is no damage so everything seems calm. I hope that the population remains calm and does not panic because of these seismic events that happen.
