Naples – The Campania Region is betting on road networks with a 350 million euro tender for road works in the Municipalities. The announcement was made by Governor Vincenzo De Luca, in the usual Friday social appointment.
"We have published the call for tenders for the roads of Campania. These are not funds from the PNRR, but resources allocated in the cohesion agreement signed with the Government", explained the president, specifying that the initial amount of 500 million has been scaled down: 150 million have in fact been diverted to Bagnoli, at the request of an external party.
The timetable is already outlined: “In April the ranking will be drawn up to distribute the funds”, De Luca assured, underlining however a critical point. “We know that the internal areas of the Region already present difficulties. We are looking for a solution, evaluating the use of other European funding channels”.
The goal is clear: the funds will be assigned exclusively to projects that can be started immediately. “After the ranking, the Municipalities will be able to start local tenders for road works,” concluded the governor, reiterating the commitment to rapid and effective action.

It is important that the funds are allocated to road works, but I do not know if 350 million is enough for all needs. The road situation in Campania is complicated and requires constant attention. Let's hope that the ranking is done fairly.
