According to the Kremlin's mustachioed spokesman Peskov, US foreign policy – the fruit of Donald Trump's “ensemble vision” – has many aspects in common with Russia's.
Article Key Points
Peskov believes that relations between the United States and Russia can normalize with a reasonable speed provided that both Putin and Trump prove tenacious and willing to pursue this goal. Meanwhile, interviewed by the TV channel Zvedza, Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov called Ukrainian President Zelensky a "pure Nazi" and a "traitor to the Jews".
Lavrov then expressed words of appreciation towards Trump, praising him for his attempt to end the “Russian-Ukrainian conflict.” The Russian foreign minister then did not spare criticism of Europe, Europe accused of wanting to prolong the conflict. Specifically, Lavrov branded as arrogant the European discussions concerning peacekeeping operations in Ukraine, lashing out in particular at Starmer and Macron.
Meloni: "Let the West show itself united"
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni expressed her hope that the West will show unity in what is certainly a delicate moment. The Prime Minister, meeting British Prime Minister Starmer in Downing Street before the London summit on the Ukraine affair and European defense, reiterated to the latter that she desires – as far as the Russian-Ukrainian conflict is concerned – a fair and lasting peace.

Peskov's analysis of US-Russia relations seems interesting but it is not clear whether normalization can actually happen. Lavrov's words on Zelensky are very strong and make you think.
The article is very interesting but there are too many difficult words and it is not clear what they mean. I think that foreign policy should be clearer and simpler for everyone. Maybe there should be more explanations.
It is interesting to see how relations between the United States and Russia can improve. However, there are many different opinions on this topic. I wonder if lasting peace is really possible between these countries with such a history of conflict.
I think there is a misunderstanding on the issue, in fact international relations are complex and Meloni's position adds a further level of complication that deserves attention.
I don't know if the cohesion of the West can really lead to a lasting peace, many factors influence the final outcome and one must be cautious in expectations.
It is interesting how Peskov talks about relations between Russia and the United States, but I do not know if a rapid normalization is possible. Lavrov criticizes Europe but does not seem to offer concrete solutions for peace, which is worrying.
