The second edition of the cultural review “Scafati è Cultura – Parole e libri in Biblioteca” is underway, scheduled from April to July 2025 at the Council Chamber of the Municipal Library “Francesco Morlicchio”, located in Scafati (SA) in Via Galileo Galilei, 34.

The initiative, promoted by Mayor Pasquale Aliberti and Councilor for Culture Antonella Di Palma, confirms itself as an important event for the city, with the aim of enhancing culture as a tool for growth, dialogue and sharing.
The 2025 festival calendar offers a series of highly interesting meetings, capable of embracing different areas – from literature to theatre, from sport to autobiographical narrative – offering food for thought and moments of discussion with leading figures in the national cultural and artistic panorama.
This is the full program of events:
• April 17, 2025, 19:00 pm – Actor and author Francesco Paolantoni will present his book, with an ironic and profound look at the world of entertainment.
• May 22, 2025, 19:00 pm – Evening tribute to the career of Marisa Laurito, actress and icon of Italian culture, who will meet the public in an intimate and personal dialogue.
• June 2025 (date to be defined) – Maurizio De Giovanni, one of the public's most beloved writers, will present his latest editorial work.
• July 2025 (date to be defined) – The actor Massimiliano Gallo will close the review with the presentation of his book, in an event not to be missed.

The exhibition is part of a broader cultural promotion process launched by the Municipal Administration, which intends to return spaces of shared and participatory culture to the citizens, enhancing the Municipal Library as a living and active place in the territory.

I think the show is a great initiative for the city, but I hope there will be a good turnout of public so that the event can have a positive impact. I can't wait to participate in some meetings.
I think it is important to promote culture in this way, but I wonder if the events will be well advertised to attract more people. The Library needs to be an active center.
