The Councillor for Social, Youth and Health Policies of the Municipality of t, Antonio Coppola, participated, representing the municipal administration led by Mayor Corrado Cuccurullo, in the XXVII Day of Peace organized by the Pontifical Institute “Bartolo Longo” in Pompeii.
An event that saw the participation of institutions, schools, associations and citizens, united under the banner of the fundamental values of peace.
Councilor Coppola commented on his participation as follows: “I had the honor of representing Torre Annunziata at the XXVII Day of Peace organized by the Pontifical Institute “Bartolo Longo” in Pompeii. An extraordinary event, full of emotions, symbols and hope, which brought together institutions, schools, associations and citizens in one great embrace around the fundamental values of peace.”
During the event, the Councilor strongly emphasized his belief in the crucial role of peace: “As a politician, as a professional and as a man, I firmly believe that peace represents only the absence of conflict, but is the engine of social and cultural development of society. Without peace, there is no inclusion, there is no growth, there is no future.”
Coppola also highlighted the importance of active community participation in building a future of peace: “Today, together with many young people and families, we have forcefully reiterated that only together can we build supportive, welcoming and just communities. Peace must be cultivated every day, in political choices, in educational actions, in mutual respect.”
The commitment to promoting peace, inclusion, equality and social rights, "are a priority for the municipal administration led by Mayor Corrado Cuccurullo. The action of the Popular Movement for Peace, represented in the City Council by councilors Roberto De Rosa and Francesca Caso, who constantly raise awareness in the community on the importance of these issues, is also moving in this direction".
Councilor Coppola concluded by thanking all those who made the success of the Day possible: "A heartfelt thanks to the organizers, to the Carabinieri Fanfare, to the volunteers and to all the protagonists of this beautiful event. Let us continue to walk together, with courage and determination, on the path of peace."
