Acerra – A man was arrested by the State Police after he intentionally damaged the electronic bracelet that had been applied to him. The incident occurred on Sunday evening, when officers from the Acerra Police Station intervened following a report received by the Operations Room.
The subject, a 43-year-old Neapolitan already known to the police, was caught in his home without the control device. During interviews with the agents, the man admitted to having deliberately cut it, providing justifications considered unfounded by the police.
Subsequent checks revealed that the arrested person was subject to a precautionary measure which prohibited him from approaching places frequented by the injured party. The violation of the provisions and the aggravated damage to the bracelet led to his arrest.
The man was then taken to prison, awaiting the provisions of the Judicial Authority. The episode confirms the effectiveness of the electronic control system, but also the determination of the police to repress any abuse.
