MARCIANISE (Caserta) – The protests in front of the Jabil gates are rekindled: workers on strike and a heated demonstration to say no to what Usb defines “a blind sale”. After months of uncertainty, broken promises and unheard alarms, the union is once again denouncing what it now calls in no uncertain terms a “political-industrial scandal”. At the center of the storm is TME Assembly Engineering, the company identified to take over from Jabil in the Caserta plant, which - as emerged in the last few hours - has made a donation of 30 thousand euros to the League.
A detail that, according to Usb, casts a heavy shadow over the entire operation, already considered fragile from an industrial point of view: no concrete employment plan, no guarantee on capital, no transparency on the steps of the negotiation. Only relationships, defined as "opaque", with political circles. The anger of the 400 workers and their families grows, fueled by the feeling of having been used as pawns in a game that concerns everything except their future.
Usb also points the finger at Minister Urso, who had been warned already in April about the lack of credibility of the negotiating entity. Now, in light of the new developments, the union is asking for an immediate stop to any dialogue with TME and the opening of a transparent path, with a serious industrial entity, selected with the support of a ministerial advisor. “The reindustrialization of marcianise It cannot be achieved through opaque and insubstantial operations – writes Usb – Whoever built all this must be held accountable. We will not stop here."
