Sant'Anastasia – The nightmare of the State Road 268, now nicknamed the “State Road of Stone Throwing,” does not stop. The latest victim is a 15-year-old girl driving her minicar, miraculously unharmed after a huge stone was thrown against her windshield while she was driving along Via Pomigliano, a road that leads directly to the SS268.
The girl, still in shock, told the incident to the Green-Side Alliance MP Francesco Emilio Borrelli:
“I heard a bang, the glass shattered in front of my eyes. If I had lost control, it would have ended badly.”
Borrelli's warning: "Potential massacre"
The MP denounced a dangerous escalation: "Dozens of cars damaged, a woman seriously injured, a minor traumatized. So far it's gone well, but we are one step away from tragedy."
Borrelli points the finger at those responsible, be they robbers, vandals or participants in social challenges: "Whoever throws stones from an overpass is a potential murderer. We need extraordinary controls, cameras and the courage to report."
Chronicle of an emergency
The SS268 has become the symbol of a territory left to chaos:
Cars destroyed by rocks
Terrified citizens
Lack of institutional responses
The request: immediate intervention
Borrelli calls for an urgent plan with: reinforced patrols, video surveillance on overpasses but above all the collaboration of citizens.
