Three Italian tourists died in an avalanche in Georgia. Interfax reports, citing the municipal authorities of Mestia, in the Samegrelo-Upper Svanetia region. According to initial information, the group of Italian skiers entered “the prohibited area with high avalanche risk” near the Tetnuld peak, where “there were warning signs”. Six people ended up under the avalanche: two were recovered unharmed by rescuers, one suffered numerous fractures and three were found lifeless.
