AFRAGOLA – Police blitz in via Pablo Neruda, where a mother and her minor daughter ended up in trouble for drug dealing: Friday evening, as part of the extraordinary checks ordered by the Naples Police Headquarters to combat drug trafficking and the illegal possession of weapons, the Mobile Squad officers arrested a 46-year-old woman from Afragola with a criminal record and reported her 17-year-old daughter for illegal possession of narcotics.
The so-called “hawks”, during a patrol service, noticed the young woman in front of a building while, in a suspicious manner, she was handing over a small package in exchange for a banknote. The alleged buyer quickly disappeared, but the police managed to stop the girl.
Suspicious of the situation and having tracked down the minor's mother shortly after, the officers decided to extend the control to the two women's home. Inside a closet, well hidden, they found two packages containing cocaine, a precision scale and 270 euros in cash.
But the most significant discovery came in the attic of the house, where nine more packages of cocaine were stored for a total of about 94 grams, four blocks of hashish weighing a total of 338 grams, a vacuum machine and various materials for packaging the doses. The 46-year-old was immediately arrested, while the 17-year-old was reported to the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office. The operation confirms the constant commitment of law enforcement in combating drug dealing, even in family contexts.

The news is very serious and makes us reflect on the situation of families in difficulty. I hope that the authorities continue to carry out more frequent checks to prevent these episodes of drug dealing, especially among young people and in communities.
