Ischia and Castel Volturno, thirty-year-old arrested for child pornography: solicitation of minors, attempted child pornography and possession of pornographic material
I Carabinieri of the Ischia Company have executed a precautionary custody order under house arrest, issued by the GIP of the Court of Naples, against a 30-year-old from Castel Volturno, held responsible for the crimes of solicitation of minors, attempted child pornography and possession of pornographic material committed against a minor under 14 years of age.
The investigations, conducted by the Operational and Radiomobile Unit of the Carabinieri Company of Ischia and coordinated by Deputy Prosecutor Dr. Cristina Curatoli of the IV Section of the Vulnerable Facility of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Naples, allowed to reconstruct that the arrested person, since February 2020, had lured the minor through Telegram and Whatsapp, sending him intimate photos and attempting to obtain pornographic performances from him through video calls and messages.
The investigative activity was triggered by a detailed complaint from the victim's mother, who immediately contacted the Carabinieri after discovering that her son was having sexually explicit chat conversations with an adult. The investigations, carried out by questioning witnesses, searching and seizing computer equipment, as well as providing technical advice, also led to the discovery of a large quantity of child pornography material on the 30-year-old's smartphone, consisting of 114 images and 136 videos with child pornography content.
