Nocera, relatives of an elderly patient destroy the facility and attack doctors and nurses
A Nocera Inferiore there were scenes of madness in the emergency room of the Umberto I hospital where the medical staff was attacked and the facility was ransacked and damaged.
It seems that three people have gone berserk because one of their relatives, an elderly man, did not, in their opinion, receive the right care. The Carabinieri are investigating the incident.

“Absolutely insane. Whatever the reasons, which have unleashed the anger of these people, such violence cannot be tolerated, it cannot be justified that an emergency room is destroyed and that doctors and nurses are attacked.
There are too many acts of violence and aggression suffered by healthcare workers, to whom we extend our solidarity, and this is why we continue to support, strongly convinced of our thought, that emergency rooms should be continuously manned by the police. Violence and crime should be kept out of hospitals.” - said the Regional Councilor of Europa Verde Francesco Emilio Borrelli.
