Elections in Napoli, the Anm Administrative: "Maresca discredits the judiciary"
"We are shocked to note the statements of the last few days of the mayoral candidate Maresca. The allusion to the politicization of the jurisdictional function is very serious; and it is even more serious that it comes from a magistrate. It is equivalent to saying that the administrative judge has sided in the electoral arena instead of verifying the correct performance of the administrative activity according to the regulatory coordinates”.
The National Association of Administrative Magistrates is protesting, according to which Maresca Simili's statements "presumably the result of the disappointment linked to the unfavourable decision, they aim to delegitimize our work and strike not only the administrative judge but also the judiciary as a whole, placing themselves on a slope - of which in recent days we have been able to verify other reflections in the context of the debate on the reform of tax justice - that must be opposed with determination".
“Undermining the citizens' trust in the correct exercise of the judicial function and discrediting the institutions at all costs, especially by those who propose to lead them, risks creating a short circuit – warns President Gia Serlenga – especially at a historical moment in which our country is preparing to face an important season of reforms".
