San Giorgio a Cremano. This morning, in fact, the restyling work began on the Susanna park, better known as Villetta Bruno, in via Cavalli di Bronzo. These interventions will involve the entire park, from the paving to the lighting, including the green area and the basketball court. With the deputy mayor and councilor for Public Works, Eva Lambiase and in the presence of the technicians of the Authority, Mayor Giorgio Zinno carried out an initial inspection of the park, at the opening of the construction site.
In about 90 days, the face of the villa will be completely changed. The interventions will concern:
– a new, more efficient lighting system, with new technology and energy saving;
– the reconstruction of the edges of the concrete flowerbeds, currently damaged by time and trampling;
– the arrangement of all the green areas, with new plants and shrubs that will embellish the park and the recovery of the central fountain;
– the resurfacing of the basketball court, where new flooring will be created to allow the practice of this discipline. The baskets will also be replaced and the lights on the court will be strengthened, so as to allow playing even in the evening hours, compatible with the closing times of the villa.
In keeping with the commitment made to the city, outdoor sports equipment will also be installed to allow fitness activities and thus create a mini path dedicated to physical activity.
Once the restyling work is complete, the large central carousel will also be replaced with a completely new, safer and more modern combined carousel.
"The restyling of Villetta Bruno - said Zinno - is a project that we had planned for some time and one of the most anticipated by the community, as it represents a fundamental meeting place for our city. The park is frequented daily by children, families and athletes and for its particular versatility, it is certainly a place of participation and welcome.
