Napoli. They had become the terror of the inhabitants of Vomero: three muggings during the summer to the detriment of as many citizens of the area. Identified thanks to a diligent passerby who had managed to take a photo of the license plate of the scooter used by the two bandits.
And so this morning the Naples Flying Squad executed an enforcement order for precautionary custody in prison issued by the GIP at the Court of Naples against 2 Neapolitans, aged 31 and 35 respectively, seriously suspected of three snatching thefts committed between 18 July and 4 September 2021.
The provision summarizes the results of a complex investigative activity carried out by the State Police and coordinated by the Naples Prosecutor's Office, which has allowed the acquisition of a serious set of circumstantial evidence against the suspects who, in the Vomero and San Ferdinando neighborhoods, allegedly stole the gold necklaces they were wearing from the victims' necks by tearing them off.
On the occasion of the episode of September 4th, the investigations were started thanks to the information provided by a passerby who took a photograph of the license plate of the motorcycle used by the "snatchers" subsequently identified thanks to the analysis of the images detected by the license plate and transit system.
