Fiom Campania: 'The future government should reactivate tables'. Secretary Guglielmi: the region still has a strong vocation.
"Campania is a region that still has a strong industrial vocation. We expect that the new government that will be born after the elections together with the Region will reactivate tables on disputes that are fundamental for us. One above all that of Whirlpool, an industrial manslaughter, to understand if there is a real commitment also with respect to the planned interventions".
This is what the general secretary of Fiom Cgil Campania, Massimiliano Guglielmi, stated at the end of the assembly promoted by the metalworkers' organization at Leonardo.
“We have the territory of Caserta – added Guglielmi – on its knees, a crisis in the electronics sector involving around 1300 workers between Jabil, Softlab and the reindustrialization of Whirlpool Carinaro-Teverola, in Avellino there is Stellantis which produces engines and in the context of the energy transition that plant still does not have a production mission”.
"The Campania – concluded Guglielmi – must return to the center of the national and regional discussion tables. We need the Campania government to resume a dialogue with the union and activate a permanent control room that can put us in a position to monitor and understand how Campania can restart from work and industry".
