Casavatore. Armed with a knife and his face covered by a red balaclava, on August 29th he broke into a butcher's shop in Casavatore in the province of Naples, threatening the owner and making him hand over the day's takings of 2000 euros. A little over a month and a half later, the robber was identified and arrested by the Carabinieri on the orders of the investigating judge of the Naples North court.
This is a 42-year-old from Casavatore, who ended up in prison for aggravated robbery. The investigations of the Prosecutor's Office of Naples North were rapid; the investigators used the images extracted from the video surveillance cameras installed in the area of the butcher's shop to identify the bandit's car, and the testimony of the victim, who described the physical characteristics of the robber and the hectic phases of the robbery.
The search of the 42-year-old's car by the Carabinieri of the Casavatore station was decisive, as they found three knives inside the vehicle, the red balaclava used in the robbery and a blank gun.
