And these warm sea waters favor the triggering of frequent and widespread thunderstorms, as also happened yesterday around Sardinia and Sicily, at a rate of about 2.000 lightning strikes per hour.
These storm phenomena, mostly born at sea above the warm waters, then head towards the emerged lands: a classic meteorological picture from the end of summer to the beginning of winter, with floods and 'flash floods', lightning floods, more likely along the coasts. Meteorologists confirm that in the next few hours we will still have showers or even strong thunderstorms in the southern regions, especially in Calabria where the orange alert is in place.
And in seven other regions: Basilicata, Campania, Lazio, Molise, Puglia, Sicily and Sardinia. A warning from the Civil Protection predicts scattered to widespread rainfall from the first hours, the risk will also extend to part of the Center, between Lower Lazio and Molise, in a potentially dangerous and flood situation.

Among other things, we remember the torrential rains between September 25 and 26 along the coast between Lower Lazio and Campania: in the next few hours, other heavy rains are not excluded in these areas and in Tyrrhenian Calabria. What is certain is that from Sunday a new wave of anomalous heat will begin with the October bis: clear skies are expected, especially from Monday onwards, maximum temperatures up to 30 C in Sardinia and Sicily and 27 C in the Center, in the North we will have peaks of 24-25 C in a mild context everywhere. The freezing level is worrying and next week it could return above 4.000 meters even in the Alps.
During today in Naples and the province, a maximum temperature of 19°C will be recorded at 16 pm, while the minimum at 8 am will be 18°C, the lowest level of the freezing level will be 3090m at 20 pm and the minimum snow level will be 2530m at 20 pm.
