Two days of free admission to enjoy the wonder of the Palace of Caserta. On June 2 and 4, the Royal Apartments and the Royal Park will be open to visitors with free admission. “The Ministry of Culture – the Vanvitellian Complex recalls in a note – has established a new day of free admission to state museums and archaeological parks for the Republic Day, which will be added, for June, to the traditional first Sunday of the month.
Considering the free access and the long weekend of celebration, a considerable turnout of public is expected. The Institute of the Ministry of Culture, a UNESCO heritage site, in the face of a severe shortage of staff, is making great efforts to welcome thousands of visitors from all over the world every day and protect its immense and fragile heritage”.
The Royal Palace of Caserta, the note continues, "is aware of the Museum's ability to generate a positive impact, in economic and development terms, on the entire city and provincial territory. The Vanvitellian Complex is able to produce wealth. Not only the most intimate, intellectual and spiritual wealth of each visitor, but also the real wealth, capable of generating jobs and incentivizing economic activities in the area. There is a large community that benefits from the wonder of the Royal Palace of Caserta.
For this reason, the Institute has decided to reserve a small portion of the tickets for the free days to the city's hoteliers' associations. A portion of the admission tickets will in fact be made available to the accommodation facilities, which will thus be able to benefit even more from the Museum's attractiveness even on the days of free admission.
The goal is to further encourage tourists to stay in the city, promoting greater knowledge of the beauty of the area, also with a consequent greater use of services. On June 2 and 4, the Vanvitellian Complex will therefore open its doors to the public, as usual, with access limited by number of visitors and time slots".
