An earthquake of magnitude 3.4 was recorded in the Campi Flegrei area, west of Naples. This was reported by the INGV, the Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology. The earthquake occurred at 4.28 this morning at a depth of 3 km. The epicentre was four kilometres from Pozzuoli and 10 kilometres from Napoli.
A second aftershock of magnitude 1 was recorded 5 minutes later with geographic coordinates (lat, lon) 40.8290, 14.1420 to a depth of 2 km. In the meantime, this morning the firefighters and civil protection began their checks.
No damage to people or things was reported. The shock was also felt in Naples in the Phlegraean districts such as Agnano, Bagnoli, but at the same time Outside Grotta and Vomero.
