On stage Pericolante nell'onore in the Archive museum
The cards become the subject of theatrical performances. On stage the system of dowries and compensations of the “esposite” of the Casa dell'Annunziata
Tuesday 13 and Wednesday 14 June, at 19 pm, a new appointment with “Sembravano C'arte”, the cultural review that comes to life in “ilCartastorie” Museum of the Historical Archives of the Bank of Naples (via dei Tribunali, 213/214). The show Pericolante nell'onore with Massimo De Matteo and Peppe Miale will tell participants an archive story taken from the writings of the ancient Neapolitan public banks; writings that have recently become, for their cultural relevance, UNESCO heritage.
Also for this meeting of the review promoted by the Fondazione Banco di Napoli and the Superintendence of Archives and Bibliography of Campania, admission will be free with mandatory reservation until all seats are taken. The Historical Archive of the Banco di Napoli will be the subject of the theatrical performance, which will stage the system of dowries and compensations of the “esposite” at the Casa Santa dell'Annunziata, in a scathing and ironic dialogue between an agent of the Annunziata and the man accused of having stained the honor of the esposita entrusted to his house.
An opportunity to discover in an original way the wealth of information in the Archive, contained in the detailed reasons reported on the "fedi di credito", paper payment titles introduced by the ancestors of the Banco di Napoli operating from the 16th to the 19th century. Unique sources for the reconstruction of political, cultural, artistic, commercial history, therefore registered in the UNESCO Memory of the World Register, together with the most relevant documentary heritage for the preservation of the history of humanity.
Free admission with mandatory reservation until seats are filled.
