Late yesterday evening, the “112” of the Operations Centre of the Carabinieri Company arrived Sessa Aurunca, in the province of Caserta, a request for intervention from a woman who, while returning home, heard cries coming from a box placed on the edge of the road.
After getting closer she discovered that the cries were those of three newborn puppies that had recently been abandoned. The Carabinieri of the local Operational and Radiomobile Unit promptly intervened in the Corbara area of Sessa Aurunca, where at the foot of a tree, cold and hungry, left inside a cardboard box, they found three of the reported puppies.
The soldiers immediately tried to warm them by placing the box on the hood of the service car and after having wrapped them in blankets they brought them to safety in the barracks. After having contacted the Veterinary service of the ASL, they bought some milk and thanks to a sterile syringe they proceeded to feed them. Now, the three dogs are well and have received all the care they needed
