The announcement comes as the host countries for the next World Cup in 2030 were announced.Previously, FIFA had communicated: “Following the decision of the UEFA Executive Committee on 26 September 2023 to once again allow the participation of Russian youth teams at women's and men's U-17 levels, the FIFA Council has approved an extension of this decision to the FIFA U-17 World Cup and the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup for which UEFA competitions serve as the qualification pathway, thus lifting the suspension of Russian teams participating in these tournaments.”
