Il National FIFA reiterated his condemnation of the illegal war of Russia in Ukraine and confirmed that the remaining terms of the decision taken on 28 February 2022 remain in force until the end of the conflict.
The reference is to the decision of FIFA and UEFA who decided to suspend the clubs and national teams of football of Russia from all competitions. The announcement comes as the host countries for the next World Cup in 2030 were announced.Previously, FIFA had communicated: “Following the decision of the UEFA Executive Committee on 26 September 2023 to once again allow the participation of Russian youth teams at women's and men's U-17 levels, the FIFA Council has approved an extension of this decision to the FIFA U-17 World Cup and the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup for which UEFA competitions serve as the qualification pathway, thus lifting the suspension of Russian teams participating in these tournaments.”
