A Napoli yet another episode of violence has occurred. The protagonist was a non-EU citizen, a window cleaner which, when a motorist refused to accept his "services" and therefore pay him, shattered the windscreen of the car. The passenger of the car who spoke to the deputy of the Green-Left alliance recounts the misadventure Francesco Emilio Borrelli.
“My brother and I were the protagonists of an unpleasant event. It all happened around 18:50 pm at the traffic lights between Via Marina and Via Amerigo Vespucci in Naples. A non-EU window cleaner did not accept our refusal to wash the windows and attacked us, destroying the windshield”, writes Borrelli.
“Fortunately, my brother and I are fine, but tomorrow these people will always be at the same place bothering someone else and the epilogue could be sadder than this. In the meantime, they have not been identified, we have to repair the damage to the car and file a report that is of no use. The police officers arrived on the scene after 50 minutes, even though we were afraid to stay around given the previous attack. We will proceed with the report but I will still have the fear and trauma of what happened”.
“It is incredible that one should be terrified of walking around one’s own city where every corner hides a potential danger. There are always too few controls and very approximate in most cases and above all there is always too much tolerance and softness towards certain individuals even if they are evidently dangerous for society. We have asked the police to at least control the area reported in the attack. Up to now, the arrival of new agents announced on several occasions by the Minister has turned out to be mere propaganda given that in most cases they replace colleagues who are retiring. So the result is always the same and that is, no more agents on the streets”, said Borrelli.
