In the context of the prevention and control operations of the territory conducted by the Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza of Avellino, a car wash in the municipality of Manocalzati, in the province of Avellino, was identified and seized for regulatory failures related to the discharge of industrial waste water.
The military discovered that the facility was operating without the required authorization for such discharges, violating the provisions of the law in force. During the intervention, it emerged that an individual was present on the company premises without regular employment, nor communication to the competent authorities.
It was also found that the prescribed fiscal meter had been activated but never used. The owner, a 47-year-old Pakistani citizen, was reported for the violations found and administratively sanctioned. The illegal actions were reported to the competent Judicial Authority, in compliance with the principle of presumption of innocence.
It is important to remember that the guilt of the persons investigated will be ascertained only following a final conviction.
The phenomenon of undeclared work represents a scourge for the economy, depriving the state coffers of resources and damaging the interests of workers, who are often exploited. Furthermore, it promotes unfair competition against legally established companies.
