A 57-year-old man, already with a criminal record, was arrested in Aversa after being caught stealing a car by the Carabinieri of the Operations Section of the Marcianise Company. The man had been stopped while trying to escape on board a stolen Alfa Romeo Giulietta.
The police acted quickly, intervening shortly after the man had forced open the car with a universal key and started it with an illegal electronic device. The carabinieri stopped him immediately before he could flee.
Subsequently, during a personal and home search, professional equipment for car theft was found, including numerous illegal tools and stolen documents. All the material was seized for investigative purposes.
The man was arrested and placed under house arrest awaiting trial for the crime of theft with violence on property.
